The Scholarship Committee of The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking applicants interested in the profession of Nursing. Previous recipients and applicants are also encouraged to re-apply.
The Ladies Board Nursing Scholarship program was established in 1959. Funds for this important project are raised by the Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, Twice is Nice Thrift Shop, Lights of Love remembrance program and the Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale. |

Scholarships are given to students as supplemental aid. For the academic year 2010-2011, $103,900 was awarded to 81 students. Amounts awarded ranged from $700 to $1600. One $5000 scholarship was given in memory of Ladies Board member Nancy Miller.
Criteria for selection include:
A copy of your letter of acceptance into an accredited School of Nursing. This is a REQUIRED part of the application. Funds are not available for pre-clinical studies.
Your financial need must be established in writing.
Academic performance. If you are currently enrolled in a qualifying program, please include a copy of your last semester grades. High school students need to enclose a copy of the last semester grades.
Applicants MUST live or work in Loudoun County.
Scholarship applications for the academic year 2011 - 2012 will be available in December 2010 at the Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, the office at Loudoun Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Twice Is Nice Thrift Shop in Leesburg, on this web site or by calling Mrs. Joyce Biesecker, Scholarship Chairman, at 703-777-6357. The deadline for applications will be announced at that time.
