The 73rd Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale is Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Morven
Park International Equestrian Center. General sale hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days and admission is free during these times. All sale proceeds benefit the Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital.
This re-sale shopping event is considered the biggest treasure hunt and bargain shopping extravaganza in Loudoun County (if not all of Northern Virginia) of its kind. You’ll understand when you see 40,000 square feet of trinkets and treasures – all under cover in the arenas and barns. You can find furniture, antiques, clothing for the entire family, designer labels at the French Room, household items, décor and holiday pieces, small electrical appliances, tools, sporting and exercise equipment, collectibles, gift and boutique items. You can find just about everything here, including many times a kitchen sink or two!
Many fine items are also available at the
one-day-only Silent Auction held on Friday, October 14. Bidding closes at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and items must be paid for that day.
Enjoy the Early Bird Hour shopping from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14th by ticketed admission only. The Early Bird Hour is a special fundraising effort to support the Polly Clemens Nursery Fund which provides equipment and supplies at Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Nursery Department. You can help the Nursery by purchasing a ticket for Five Dollars ($5.00) to this private shopping hour. This limited entrance event allows you to enjoy a more peaceful buying experience (before the mad rush when doors open at 9:00 a.m.) while supporting a wonderful charity!
Tickets will be available in September at the Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, the Twice Is Nice thrift shop and the Black Shutter Antique Shoppes in Historic Leesburg. Tickets will also be available on site.
Business and community leaders have generously supported this sale and the fundraising efforts. We are very appreciative of the community support and could not do this event without your help. Individuals who volunteer their time are the backbone of this event.
Last year more than 440 volunteers picked up furniture, unloaded tractor trailers, sorted donations and sold the donations during “rummage week.” The 72nd Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale (Oct 15-16, 2010) shattered all previous records and grossed $153,000. All net proceed support Ladies Board projects.
